Network – Networking has huge potential to grow your business. You would be amazed at how successful you can become if you just put yourself out there. Join a local networking group like BNI (Business Networking International), WIB (Women In Business Networking), your Chamber of Commerce ora MasterMind Group.
These groups can be very beneficial especially if you join them with the attitude that networking is a win-win for all parties involved. Don’t join a group and be selfish – things won’t happen for you that way.
There are also several online networking groups like LinkedIn that can be very beneficial. LinkedIn makes it very easy to connect with people and start conversations that could lead to great partnerships.
Partnerships – Reach out to successful individuals whose businesses compliment yours. I see this all the time in the financial industry. A financial advisor will partner with a CPA or a lawyer. Or an external wholesaler will partner with another external wholesaler selling a non-competing product in the same territory. As with any partnership make sure you set clear guidelines on what you both hope to achieve in the partnership and make sure that the partnership will be mutually beneficial.
Sponsorships – These work great not only to support events and organizations that you are truly passionate about but to get your name out there. You’d be surprised how many people pay attention to sponsorships – people like to support businesses that support their community.
Outsource – Creating and growing a successful business is very time consuming so aligning yourself with talented individuals that can help take your business to the next level is key. Decide what tasks you either don’t love or don’t have time for but are necessary and outsource them to a professional. Building a great team will lead to building a great business.
